3-day tour From Batumi to Turkey — Sumela and Uzungel

Programm:

Day 1

Batumi — Trabzon — Sumela Monastery

08:00 — Departure from Batumi Crossing the Georgian-Turkish border in Sarpi (assistance with border control). Transfer along the picturesque Black Sea coast of Turkey.  Arrival in the Trabzon area. Lunch at a traditional restaurant with local Black Sea cuisine.  Next, an excursion to the Sumela monastery (in a rock, 1200 m above sea level) This unique 4th-century Byzantine structure offers incredible views of the Altyndere National Park, where we will hear stories about monks, icons and secret trails. 

Transfer to Trabzon Check-in at the hotel, free time In the evening, walk along the embankment, you can visit the spice and sweets market.

Day 2: Trabzon — Uzungel Lake 09:00

 Breakfast at the hotel, departure to the mountains Arrival in Uzungel, a picturesque Alpine lake surrounded by pine forests and wooden houses. There is an opportunity to rent a bike, boat or climb to the panoramic platform. Next, Lunch at a restaurant by the water (trout, pide, Turkish tea) An easy walk or jeep safari in the surroundings (optional) Photo on the background of a mosque by the water is Uzungel's business card  Return to Trabzon Evening tour of the center: Gulbahar Mosque, Trabzon Fortress, Beaujolais Park Overnight in Trabzon

Day 3: Trabzon — Rize — Batumi 09:00

Breakfast and check-out On the way, stop in the city of Rize, the capital of Turkish tea. Visit to a tea plantation and factory with tea tasting. Moving towards the Georgian border Along the way, you can stop at picturesque waterfalls or beaches.

Return to Batumi
