Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Baku
Welcome to Azerbaijan!
Upon arrival in Baku, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.
Check-in is available after 15:00.
The rest of the day is free for you to relax after your journey or begin exploring the fascinating atmosphere of Azerbaijan’s capital at your own pace.
Overnight: Baku
Day 2 - Baku: Icheri Sheher & Gobustan
Tour duration: approximately 8–9 hours
Start time: 10:00
After breakfast, we begin our discovery of Baku with the historic heart of the city - Icheri Sheher, the Old City.
Behind its ancient defensive walls lies a fascinating world of narrow streets, historic buildings, mosques, caravanserais, and architectural treasures that tell the story of Baku through the centuries.
We will visit the magnificent Palace of the Shirvanshahs, the former residence of the rulers of Shirvan. Located on one of the highest points of the Old City, the palace complex offers a fascinating glimpse into medieval Azerbaijan.
We will also visit the unique studio of artist Ali Shamsi, where art and imagination become part of the journey itself.
Another fascinating stop is the Museum of Miniature Books, home to an extraordinary collection of books from around the world - many small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
Our walk continues to the legendary Maiden Tower, one of the most recognizable symbols of Baku. Surrounded by stories and legends, the tower remains one of the city’s greatest historical mysteries.
As we wander through the Old City, we will discover ancient mosques, caravanserais, historic houses, and other architectural treasures. The area has also served as a filming location for several famous Soviet movies, including The Diamond Arm, Amphibian Man, Aibolit-66, and Tehran 43.
After lunch, we leave the city and continue towards Gobustan.
Along the way, we will visit the historic Bibi-Heybat Mosque, one of Azerbaijan’s most important religious landmarks.
Our final destination is Gobustan, famous for its ancient rock carvings and archaeological heritage. The petroglyphs offer a fascinating glimpse into the lives and traditions of people who inhabited this region thousands of years ago.
After a day filled with history, culture, and discovery, we return to Baku.
Overnight: Baku
Day 3 - Absheron Peninsula: Ateshgah & Yanardag
Tour duration: approximately 7–8 hours
Start time: 09:00
Today we enter a world of ancient fire, legends, and natural wonders.
After breakfast, we travel to the Absheron Peninsula, where we visit the extraordinary Ateshgah Fire Temple.
This historic complex is associated with ancient fire-worshipping traditions and was built around natural gas flames emerging from the earth. For centuries, the site attracted Zoroastrians and other pilgrims fascinated by the eternal fire.
We then continue to Yanardag - the Burning Mountain, one of Azerbaijan’s most unusual natural phenomena.
Here, natural gas rises through the earth and creates flames along the mountainside. The fire of Yanardag has become one of the most fascinating symbols of Azerbaijan and provides a unique connection between the country’s natural landscape, ancient beliefs, and legends.
During the visit, we will learn about the fascinating stories and traditions surrounding the sacred fire of the Absheron Peninsula.
After the excursion, we return to Baku.

Day 4 - Baku - Tbilisi
After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and transfer to Baku International Airport.
We fly from Baku to Tbilisi.
Flight duration: approximately 1 hour.
Air tickets are not included in the tour price and are purchased separately.
Upon arrival in Tbilisi, our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.
After check-in, you will have free time to begin exploring the Georgian capital.
We recommend taking a leisurely walk through Old Tbilisi, where colourful balconies, historic buildings, narrow streets, and ancient traditions create a unique atmosphere.
Among the highlights you can discover are:
- Metekhi Church and Bridge - one of the iconic landmarks of Tbilisi, offering
beautiful views over the Mtkvari River. - Abanotubani Sulphur Baths - the historic district famous for its traditional sulphur baths.
- Narikala Fortress - an ancient fortress overlooking the city, accessible on foot or by cable car.
- Tbilisi Botanical Garden - a peaceful green space with waterfalls and scenic walking paths.
- Shardeni Street - one of the most atmospheric streets in the Old Town, filled with cafés, restaurants, galleries, and shops.
- Anchiskhati Basilica - one of the oldest surviving churches in Tbilisi.
- Bridge of Peace - a modern architectural landmark connecting the Old Town with the newer parts of the city.
- Rezo Gabriadze Marionette Theatre - a charming and unique cultural landmark.
- Mother of Georgia - the famous monument overlooking Tbilisi.
- King Erekle II Street - a picturesque street lined with traditional Georgian houses and balconies.
In the evening, choose one of the local restaurants and enjoy your first taste of authentic Georgian cuisine.

Day 5 - Kakheti: Wine, Bread & Sighnaghi
Today we travel to Kakheti, Georgia’s legendary wine region and one of the country’s most beautiful destinations.
Kakheti is the heart of Georgian winemaking. Wine has been produced here for thousands of years, and the region is home to many famous wine varieties, including Kindzmarauli, Akhasheni, Teliani, and Mukuzani.
Our day begins with a visit to a traditional family wine cellar, where we will discover the secrets of Georgian winemaking and enjoy a wine tasting.
Our welcoming host will introduce us to traditional Georgian wine and chacha and share stories about Georgian culture and the famous tradition of the Georgian toast.
We will also take part in a traditional Georgian bread-making masterclass, learning how the famous Georgian puri is prepared.
Our next stop is Bodbe Monastery, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Georgia. The monastery is closely associated with St. Nino, who played a key role in the Christianization of Georgia.
Located on a hill overlooking the region, Bodbe offers breathtaking views of the Alazani Valley and the Greater Caucasus Mountains.
We then continue to Sighnaghi, often known as the “City of Love.”
With its charming cobbled streets, traditional houses, defensive walls, and panoramic views over the Alazani Valley, Sighnaghi is considered one of the most picturesque towns in Georgia.
After exploring the town, we will enjoy a traditional Georgian dinner combined with a local cooking workshop, where you can discover the secrets behind some of Georgia’s most beloved dishes.
You will also have the opportunity to taste traditional Georgian sweets such as churchkhela and pelamushi.
After a wonderful day in Kakheti, we return to Tbilisi.

Day 6 - Tbilisi - Ananuri - Gudauri - Kazbegi - Tbilisi
Start time: 08:00-08:30
Today we head north into the spectacular Greater Caucasus Mountains.
We follow the historic Georgian Military Highway, one of the most scenic roads in the country, connecting Tbilisi with the North Caucasus.
Our first stop is Zhinvali Reservoir, whose turquoise waters contrast beautifully with the surrounding green mountains.
We then visit Ananuri Fortress, a spectacular medieval complex overlooking the Aragvi River. Its churches, defensive walls, and towers make it one of Georgia’s most impressive historical landmarks.
Our journey continues towards Gudauri, one of Georgia’s most famous mountain resorts, located at an altitude of approximately 2,200 metres above sea level.
Along the way, we stop at the famous Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument, also known as the Monument of the Treaty of Georgievsk. Built into the mountainside, it offers spectacular views across the surrounding valleys.
Our main destination is Stepantsminda and Gergeti Trinity Church.
Perched high above the valley beneath the majestic Mount Kazbek, Gergeti Trinity Church is one of the most iconic sights in Georgia.
The dramatic combination of the medieval church, alpine landscape, and towering Caucasus peaks creates one of the most memorable views of the entire journey.
After exploring the area, we return to Tbilisi.
Overnight: Tbilisi
Day 7 - Tbilisi - Yerevan
After breakfast, we check out and transfer to Tbilisi International Airport.
We fly to Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.
After arrival, we begin exploring the city.
Often described as the **“City of Sun and Light,” Yerevan is one of the oldest cities in the region and a vibrant cultural centre of modern Armenia.
We will discover the city’s most important landmarks, including Republic Square, the architectural heart of Yerevan.
We will also visit the famous Cascade Complex, a monumental staircase connecting different parts of the city and decorated with numerous sculptures and works of art.
The area around the Cascade is filled with cafés, restaurants, galleries, and beautiful public spaces, making it one of the favourite meeting places for both locals and visitors.
The evening is free to explore Yerevan at your own pace and discover the flavours of Armenian cuisine.
Overnight: Yerevan
Day 8 - Khor Virap - Noravank - Areni
After breakfast, we leave Yerevan and head into the spectacular Armenian countryside.
Our first destination is Khor Virap Monastery, one of Armenia’s most important religious and historical landmarks.
The monastery is particularly famous for its breathtaking views of Mount Ararat, one of the most powerful symbols associated with Armenia.
Standing here, surrounded by the dramatic landscape, you can truly appreciate the deep connection between Armenia’s history, Christianity, and the legendary mountain.
We then continue to Noravank Monastery, dramatically located among the red cliffs of the Amaghu Gorge.
Dating back to the 13th century, the monastery blends beautifully with its surroundings. The contrast between the red-rock landscape and the elegant medieval architecture makes Noravank one of the most spectacular places in Armenia.
Our final destination is the famous Areni wine region.
Here we will enjoy an Armenian wine tasting and discover the ancient winemaking traditions of the region.
After the excursion, we return to Yerevan.

Day 9 - Departure
After breakfast, we check out of the hotel.
Transfer to Yerevan International Airport for your departure flight.
Our journey through the Caucasus comes to an end.
