DAY 1: Dashbashi Canyon & Lake Paravani Experience

08:00 – 09:00
 Breakfast
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before heading into the breathtaking Georgian wilderness.

09:00 – 11:30
Drive to Dashbashi Canyon
Depart for Dashbashi Canyon — one of Georgia's most spectacular natural landmarks. Located near Tsalka in the Kvemo Kartli region, the canyon features towering basalt cliffs carved by the Ixia River, cascading waterfalls, and the iconic 240-meter-long suspended glass bridge with a bar-café in its center offering panoramic views over the turquoise waters below. A surreal experience for nature lovers and thrill-seekers alike.

13:00 – 13:30
Hotel Check-in

13:30 – 14:30
 Lunch at the hotel

15:30 – 17:00
 Visit Foka Monastery
Travel to the remote and serene Foka Monastery, an Orthodox convent on the shores of Lake Paravani. With roots dating back to the 8th–9th century and revived in 1992, this spiritual center is also known for its artisanal crafts and warm hospitality. Take in the stunning lakeside views and peaceful monastic atmosphere.

17:00 – 19:00
 Fishing on Lake Paravani
Unwind with an evening of fishing on Georgia’s largest lake. Try your luck catching trout, carp, or whitefish using local techniques—worms or dough with dill—at the mouth of a stream. If you're lucky, you may witness the “mirror calm” of the lake—when the water becomes still and clear, a magical moment said to bring the best catches.

19:00
Return to the hotel and rest

DAY 2: Ancient Trails & the Shaori Megalithic Fortress

07:00
 Departure from Tbilisi
Early check-out and departure. Enjoy a coffee and snack en route as you drive through the Tsalka Plateau toward one of Georgia’s oldest mysteries.

10:40 – 14:00
Hike to Shaori Fortress
Arrive in the remote village of Tambovka and prepare for your hike. Follow old shepherd trails past mountain streams and abandoned pastures. As you ascend, sweeping views of Lake Paravani, the Abul-Samsari Ridge, and the volcanic landscapes emerge.
At the summit (2,752 m), explore the ancient Shaori Fortress, a Bronze Age cyclopean site dubbed “Georgia’s Stonehenge”. Built from massive basalt blocks, the fortress likely had religious or astronomical purposes.

14:30 – 15:30
 Picnic Lunch on the Peak
Enjoy a rustic lunch with sweets, tea, and cooked food on a portable burner. Relax on the sun-warmed rocks and absorb the quiet majesty of the plateau.

16:45 – 18:00
 Descent to the Foot
Retrace your path down, passing grazing flocks, wildflowers, and possibly spotting eagles or falcons overhead.

18:00 – 18:30
 Rest & Refresh
Short break at the base of the trail. Wash up in a mountain spring, sip some coffee, and change before departure.

19:00 – 19:30
