Your day begins with pick-up from your hotel, heading north into the Caucasus Mountains.

Ananuri Fortress
The first stop is Ananuri Fortress, perched on the shore of the Zhinvali Reservoir.

  • Ananuri Fortress: a historical complex with an ancient church and fortress walls, once an important medieval military outpost and a fine example of Georgian architecture.
  • Scenic views: breathtaking views over the reservoir and surrounding mountains - a favorite photo stop.

Zhinvali Reservoir
The tour continues along the Zhinvali Reservoir, a key water and electricity source for Georgia.

  • Zhinvali Dam: an optional stop to photograph one of the region's largest bodies of water.

  • Gudauri: a year-round destination - not just for winter sports, but for summer activities too, including paragliding with Caucasus views.
  • Jvari Pass Viewpoint: en route to Gudauri, stop at the Jvari Pass for a breathtaking panorama of the mountains, gorge, and ski resort area below.
