Abudelauri Lakes (1 Day Tour)

Abudelauri Lakes (1 Day Tour)

Programm:

Abudelauri Colored Lakes Hike

Explore the Turquoise, Green, and Milky-White Lakes of the Caucasus
Hidden high in the Khevsureti region, near the village of Roshka

The Abudelauri Lakes are a unique natural wonder located in the Khevsureti region of eastern Georgia, near the remote village of Roshka. Nestled at an altitude of about 2,800 meters, at the base of the dramatic Chaukhi Massif, these alpine lakes are renowned for their strikingly different colors — one turquoise-blue, one vivid green, and one milky-white.

This hike is ideal for nature lovers, photographers, and those seeking a peaceful yet surreal mountain landscape.

 Best Time to Visit

June – September, when the trails are snow-free and the lakes are full and vibrant from glacial meltwater.

 Lakes Overview:

  • Blue Lake — The most vivid and photogenic, with deep turquoise waters. A perfect spot for stunning photos.

  • Green Lake — Its color changes throughout the day depending on the light, from emerald to golden green.

  • White Lake — The most mysterious, with milky-gray water due to glacial sediment. Set at the base of Chaukhi’s steep cliffs.
