Day 1 - Arrival in Tbilisi

Welcome to Georgia!

Upon arrival at Tbilisi International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

After check-in, you will have time to relax and recover from your journey.

Day 2 - Discover Tbilisi

Today, we explore the fascinating capital of Georgia on foot.

We will take a leisurely walk through the historic streets of Old Tbilisi, where centuries of history and different cultures come together. Along the way, we will discover traditional churches, a synagogue, a mosque, historic wooden houses with colourful balconies, the famous sulphur baths, and the impressive Narikala Fortress.

The afternoon is free for you to enjoy Tbilisi at your own pace. You can explore local cafés, browse the shops, or simply relax and soak up the atmosphere of this lively city.

Day 3 - Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Uplistsikhe - Gori

Cycling: 61 km | approx. 6 hours
Elevation: +640 m / -520 m

Our cycling adventure begins today.

In the morning, we drive to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia, where we visit the magnificent Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the country’s most important religious monuments.

After preparing and adjusting our bicycles, we begin our ride through the Georgian countryside.

Our route takes us toward Uplistsikhe, one of Georgia’s most remarkable archaeological sites. Carved into the rock, this ancient cave town was an important settlement and trading centre connected to the Silk Road.

After exploring Uplistsikhe, we continue to Gori, where we check into our hotel. In your free time, you may explore the town and visit the birthplace of Joseph Stalin.

Day 4 - Gori - Kintsvisi - Borjomi - Akhaltsikhe

Cycling: 149 km | approx. 9 hours
Elevation: +1,290 m / -930 m

Today is one of the most challenging and rewarding cycling days of the tour.

We leave Gori by bicycle and ride through picturesque countryside toward Kintsvisi Church, famous for its remarkable medieval frescoes.

Along the route, we encounter historic churches, fortresses, villages, and beautiful Georgian landscapes before reaching Borjomi, one of Georgia’s best-known resort towns.

Surrounded by lush green forests, Borjomi is famous for its natural mineral water and therapeutic springs. We will have time to walk through Borjomi Central Park and taste the town’s famous mineral water.

After our visit, we continue by vehicle toward Akhaltsikhe, the administrative centre of the Samtskhe-Javakheti region.

Day 5 - Akhaltsikhe - Khertvisi - Vardzia

Cycling: 65 km | approx. 4 hours
Elevation: +870 m / -560 m

Today we continue our journey entirely by bicycle.

We start relatively early and follow a scenic route through the spectacular landscapes of southern Georgia.

Along the way, we stop at Khertvisi Fortress, one of the country’s oldest and most impressive medieval fortifications. Perched dramatically above the river valley, it offers excellent opportunities for photographs.

We then continue cycling toward Vardzia.

Upon arrival, we check into our accommodation and enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by a local family - a wonderful opportunity to experience traditional Georgian hospitality and cuisine.

Later, we visit Vardzia, Georgia’s extraordinary rock-carved cave city and monastery complex. Built into the cliffs, the site stretches dramatically along the mountainside and is one of the country’s most iconic historical landmarks.

Day 6 - Vardzia - Akhalkalaki

Cycling: 46 km | approx. 4 hours
Elevation: +830 m / -380 m

After breakfast, we get back on our bicycles and continue through the highland landscapes of the Javakheti region.

Our destination is Akhalkalaki, a town situated on a volcanic plateau surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery.

The route offers a different side of Georgia, with open landscapes, fresh mountain air, and spectacular views.

The afternoon is free to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Depending on your interests, optional local activities and traditional masterclasses can be arranged.

Day 7 - Javakheti Lakes - Tbilisi

Cycling: 74 km | approx. 4 hours
Elevation: +520 m / -1,700 m

Our final cycling day begins with a drive to Paravani Lake, the largest lake in Georgia.

From here, we begin our ride through the stunning highlands of Javakheti. The route takes us past several beautiful mountain lakes and offers spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.

Along the way, we stop at a local fish restaurant, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch and take a well-deserved break.

After completing our cycling route, we continue by vehicle to Tbilisi.

In the evening, you can enjoy your final night in the Georgian capital, perhaps with a traditional Georgian dinner and a toast to an unforgettable cycling adventure.

Day 8 - Departure

After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye to Georgia.

You will be transferred to Tbilisi International Airport for your departure flight.
